To say the least, it was crowded and lacking in positive ambiance, so Hubby, with help from the kids, set up our dinner table (really the patio set) in our future kitchen, where he hoped we could enjoy some privacy and a partially elegant moment...Required attire: Winter coats.
The house was framed and closed in, and had the plumbing roughed in, but that's about it. You can see blankets on the chairs, as it was COLD in there and we wrapped up as well as we could while eating.
It was a very fun adventure to sit in my future dream room. We were able to imagine we were sitting in the finished space, enjoying a romantic meal for two at the kitchen table. For that little while, the stress of the build, the frustrations with life in the mobile home, and the busyness of our lives were far away...and the dream of living in our home seemed real.
The kids were proud to have helped |
