Still reaching for the dream of having the garage addition enclosed by fall, with Hubby as guide instead of chief builder, the rest of us forged on.

After that, there was some (unphotographed) technical tricks for ensuring the walls were straight, and the rim boards were applied around the perimeter.


Only the 'bump-out' section got the 2nd floor joists up that day, but that's already helping to make it look more like a building with usable rooms!  Standing in that area, Princess Sassy and I could imagine what the same-sized space above will be like, where they'll have desk and dining spaces.
