(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

Looking through photos as I sorted out the mess from the entry closet, I was reminded of past scenes from our life I really miss, but have been very blessed to experience:
Being piled high with kids

and having all 8 under one roof.

Sharing babies and celebrations with our grandparents, and having our older kids get to know them...

One of my all-time favorite pics

When the girls loved for me to sew them matching dresses, and, even better, impromptu loves between siblings.

Shared excitement over a new baby...

...and Hubby's classic pose with each one!

Beautiful pics! I love going through old pics and finding those impromptu moments, and of course the Hubs pics are just so classic. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Lax...Your other comment came through on the Blogger system instead of Intense Debate, so I can't approve it or lose this one. But thanks for the heads up on Throwback Thursday. I thought I'd been checking, but missed you're doing it tomorrow. See you there! :-)

What a lovely family! Moreover, that's a man who knows how to relax!!

Do you think that's why babies quiet for big, strong men? Not just because they feel secure, but because the guys can really focus on relaxing, instead of multitasking?
Have to laugh at that a little...This is the man who hasn't taken hardly a minute to relax at all since November! His grandma told him "Idle hands are the devil's workshop," and "Work before pleasure," and he took both to heart. --When you're tired enough, and you hold a little warm and cuddly being, the eyes just snap shut. :-) Not that he usually has any problem nodding off, those cozy, little, stretch-terry jammies on a sweet-smelling baby were a particularly good one-two punch to knock him unconscious.
The picture of Grandma H holding one of your boys made me smile. I have a picture of her holding Brent at about the same age...and size. It's one of my favorites too. :) Hard to believe he'll be 22 next week...
Aw, what precious pictures. Love those of DH napping with babies. Thanks for sharing.
