Last year we got a little snow, but nothing like the communities all around us. One time, the whole half of the state, it seemed, had 6 to 12 inches, while we got nothing. The forecast for this winter promised a lot of cold and snow, but we knew not to count on it.
This weekend, when the weather forecasters were talking about a lot of snow, they'd show these weather maps of the expected snow in Western Washington, with us right in the center of the only snowless spot... So I wasn't particularly surprised yesterday when areas to the north, west, and south of us were reporting snowfall, while the sun shined on our yard.
This morning, though, we got a bit of our own. The grass still shows sticking up through it, but Prince CuddleBunny is enjoying it anyway... and it's beautiful.
